Resort Construction

We build resorts across the atolls: over-water and beach villas, jetties and reclamation, back-of-house buildings, power houses and sewage treatment, pools, restaurants and spas, from architectural design through interior fit-out to handover. On an island site the vessels and machinery that bring materials and equipment in are part of the build, and we own our own. Our completed work includes Th. Maalefushi, MFAR Kuda Villingili and Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru; Fenfushi and Jumeirah Olhahali are on site now.

Building Construction

Condominiums, housing, offices and hotels — new build and renovation. We begin with a meeting to understand the requirement in detail, plan a strategy for the project, and build it with one coordinated team that keeps you informed at every step. Our support and maintenance continue after the building is occupied. We have completed Oceanfront Residence, RainCrest, RainCoral, Luxera, LuxaOne and Solitaire, and are building 700 housing units for HDC at Kulhudhuffushi and Naifaru.

MEP Services

Our MEP team is one of the largest in the company. It designs and installs mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across our resort, building and real estate projects — plumbing, fire fighting, electrical, lightning protection, refuse chutes, swimming pools, building automation and water and sanitary networks. Most of these systems stay with us on an annual maintenance contract after handover.

Plant & Equipment Hire

Cranes, excavators, backhoe loaders, transit and ready mixers and tipper trucks — the fleet we run on our own sites, available to hire for other projects. When you hire from us, the machine and its operator come from a working fleet, not a hire desk.

Marine Fleet

Materials and equipment reach an island by sea, and we move our own: cargo dhoani of 60 MT and 200 MT for smaller loads and the Rainbow Carrier landing craft, 250 MT, for larger shipments, to any destination in the Maldives. Because we own the vessels rather than charter them, our programmes do not wait for someone else's sailing. The fleet is also available for hire.

Construction & Project Management

Every project we take on follows the same four stages. We start with a meeting to understand the requirement in detail; planning and strategy set the scope, sequence and logistics; one team runs the execution and keeps you informed at each step; and our support and maintenance continue after handover. Because the programme, the site and the supply decisions sit with the same people, we solve a delay rather than pass it between contracts.

Real Estate Development

We develop properties from paper to handover — acquiring land, renovating and re-leasing existing buildings, and building and selling new ones — working with architects and engineers so each building is designed and built to a set standard. Rainland Developers, within our group, handles sales and marketing and manages the property after handover. We have completed and handed over seven real estate developments; RainPearl, RainPalm and mixed residential buildings in Hulhumalé and Maafushi are under way.
