About us

We started in 2000 as a department of Rainbow Aluminium, taking tiling and painting work in the Greater Malé region. 26 years on, we build resorts, residences and public housing across the atolls, and we own the plant and marine fleet that reach them.

How we began.

Established 2000 · Malé

  1. Founded in 2000

    We entered the construction industry in 2000, as a separate unit of Rainbow Aluminium, taking on tiling and painting work across Greater Malé. Finishing to the client's plan was the priority from the first job, and that grounding in the finishing trades is still part of how we build today.

  2. Our own company since 2002

    Rainbow Construction Pvt Ltd was formed in October 2002, with qualified staff and our own financial resources behind it, to take on specialised construction and project management work under our own name, with our own plant, our own people and our own contracts.

  3. The record since

    The record today runs past 120 completed projects across residential, condominium, commercial, infrastructure and resort work, with MEP and marine works alongside. Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru, Oceanfront Residence and RainCrest Residence are on that list, with RainPalm, RainPearl and RainCoral Residence on site now. Our sister companies in Rainbow Group, in aluminium fabrication, real estate and trading, have backed that growth, and we can draw on their resources and experience when a project needs it.

We are one company inside Rainbow Group, a sibling of the businesses below rather than their parent. Three of them fabricate or supply the materials that most often sit on a project’s critical path.

We use in-group fabrication and supply where it fits a project, not on every package. What matters is that the option exists at all — which a standalone contractor cannot arrange at any price.
